MKF is a 13 member band. They recorded their debut album at the Sydney Opera house on March 14th 2009 and within a matter of months achieved secure ground in the music world. The first single ‘Like the River’ made its debut at number 3 on ARIA charts before moving to the number one spot.
MKF is headed by legendary singer/songwriter Mahmood Khan known for his work with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and now has become the first singer/songwriter from the Indian Sub Continent to have scored top chart position on Australian Pop charts. This not only marks a historical milestone for the Australian and Indian music history but also sets the stage for the new music genre WORLD/POP.

MKF debut single 'Like the River' made its ARIA chart entry at number 3 on Sep 18th and reached number one on Oct 12th spending 5 weeks in the top ten. A huge step forward for WORLD music.
